Meet Lily Jovic

Our shareholder community is made up of hundreds of passionate shareholders, who - like ACCR - hold shares in a variety of companies. Your ongoing support keeps us ready to file resolutions and gives us the leverage to engage with these companies and their investors.

For WA-based Lily Jovic, a trip to see a presentation from ACCR’s Lead Analyst, Alex Hillman, and Supporter Engagement Officer, Alia Hutchison, in Fremantle “dramatically” changed her perspective on climate science, finance and shareholder advocacy.

Lily, who is now a shareholder with BHP, Santos and Woodside, says “ACCR’s impact motivated me.”

“I didn’t hold these shares previously [and] this felt like a tangible way to participate in that [work] … it is independent, insightful, based on the latest climate science, accessible for punters yet has the power to influence institutional investors.”

Lily, who hopes that ACCR and the shareholder community can build a “deeper, more ambitious collaboration towards real-world outcomes and systemic change,” believes collaboration between shareholders to ensure both absolute emissions reductions and long-term value is essential.

“[It is] in the interests of avoiding collapse on many fronts, and [provides] greater stewardship where it’s needed most.”

If you are interested in learning how to acquire shares in ACCR’s focus companies on the ASX, please contact ACCR’s Shareholder Engagement Officer, Alia Hutchison. If you have shares you would like to register for use by ACCR, you can do so at our Shareholder Hub.
