Research Committee Chair Emeritus Professor Robert (Bob) Matheson Douglas AO MD, BS (Adelaide) MA (Penn) FRACP, FRACGP, FAFPHM
During his forty-year medical career, Bob Douglas worked as a general practitioner, a specialist physician, a researcher and a community medicine academic. Bob helped to establish the National Centre for Epidemiology and Public health (NCEPH) at the Australian National University (ANU), where he was a Foundation Director. He also played a key role in setting up ANU's Medical School in 2004. Since retirement, Bob has helped to establish Australia21 and SEE-Change ACT, and has contributed to the Transform Australia Network. Bob has received an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for his contributions to medicine.
